About Rangpur Regional Center
Rangpur Regional Center is a vital organ of Bangladesh Open University to fulfill its mission. The centre has a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing the best possible educational experience to students. The centre has several services for stakeholders. These services include a student service centre, one-stop service, helpline, complaining box, programs’ related information desk, and more.
The Rangpur Regional Center of BOU was established in 1994 to provide quality distance education to the students of 7 districts in the northern part of the country.
The Rangpur Regional Center is known for its innovative and student-centered approaches to teaching and learning based on using communication technologies. It also aims to bring education to the masses and to create a skilled population by raising the standard of education.
With 08 sub-regional centres under its jurisdiction, Rangpur Regional Center is one of the largest regional centres of BOU. There are 138 study centres under the regional centre, which offer 12 programs and serve efficiently 138 coordinators, 1857 tutors and approximately 31,641 students. The centre is staffed by efficient 21 officials.
Rangpur Regional Center is committed to providing functional, mass-oriented, and lifelong education services to the marginalized population who might otherwise be unable to access these resources. The centre is equipped with modern technologies and provides support through its student service centre and helpline.
Mission
The mission of Rangpur Regional Center is to bring quality education and skill development opportunities to the people of Rangpur Division, regardless of their age, gender, occupation, location or financial status. The RC wants to empower individuals to reach their full potential and contribute to their communities. This Regional Center of BOU wants to offer effective education that meets the local demand for skills and knowledge. It focuses on the unique needs and educational challenges of this region.

The RC aims to make education accessible to all and to have a positive impact on the people of Rangpur and the surrounding areas.
